Treasuring the Divine Truth for the Advance of the Lord’s Recovery

  1. The Lord’s recovery is a recovery of the truth—1 Tim. 2:4; 3:15:
    1. The truths as revealed in the Scriptures have been lost, missed, misunderstood, misinterpreted, and wrongly taught throughout the ages; hence, there is the need of the Lord’s recovery—John 17:17:
      1. The Lord’s recovery is the recovery of the divine truths as revealed in the holy Scriptures, the holy Word of God—2 Tim. 3:16.
      2. The goal of the Lord’s recovery is to recover the reality, life, livingness, strength, power, and impact of the matters revealed in the Scriptures.
    2. The truth in the Lord’s recovery is the consummate truth of the past nineteen centuries—2 Tim. 2:2.
  2. The truth is nowhere but in the Bible, yet the Bible needs an opener; the Life-study messages with the Recovery Version and all the footnotes open the Bible to us whenever we touch them:
    1. Those who have read the Life-study messages can testify that these messages with the notes of the Recovery Version have opened up a certain chapter or a certain book of the Bible; this is not to replace the Bible but to bring people into the Bible.
    2. The best way to be constituted of the New Testament truths is to use the Recovery Version with the notes and the Life-study messages.
    3. We are not for theology, but we are for “theos,” God; our publications are not for any kind of “ology,” but just for God, the Triune God, the processed Triune God, and the Lord, Christ, Jesus, the Spirit, life, and the church.
    4. We must consider the text of the Recovery Version with the notes and the Life-study messages as a textbook; if you read them in a light way, you cannot get into them; you must study them as a textbook.
    5. We all need to build up a practice of spending at least thirty minutes in the Word every day—either three times of ten minutes each or one time of thirty minutes.
  3. We must get into the truths and get these truths constituted into our being; the solid truth ministered to the saints can build up the church:
    1. What kind of church we build up depends on what kind of truth we teach; there is a desperate need of the living truth to produce the church, to help the church to exist, and to build up the church—1 Tim. 3:15.
    2. When what we read becomes a truth in our being, this nourishment remains forever; the only way for the truth to get into us is through our mentality, our understanding.
    3. If the truth gets into our memory, it becomes a constant and long-term nourishment; then we have an accumulation of the truth and will know how to present the truth to others to make them solid and constituted with the truth.
    4. We should endeavor to use the time to learn the truth, to know the truth, to speak the truth, to experience Christ through the truth, and to minister Christ to people by the Spirit.
  4. The way to get into the Recovery Version with the footnotes and the Life-studies:
    1. Pray-read—by pray-reading in our spirit we will be nourished—Eph. 6:17-18.
    2. Study—by studying with eagerness and diligence we will understand with our mind—Acts 17:11; 2 Tim. 2:15; Luke 24:45.
    3. Memorize key verses, outlines and footnotes—by memorizing we will hold fast the word in our heart—2 Tim. 1:13; Luke 8:15; Psa. 119:11.
    4. Speak—by speaking to one another, and to all people and by prophesying in the meetings, we will allow God to flow through us and out of us to be life to others—1 Tim. 4:6; Col. 3:16; Eph. 4:25; Acts 5:20; 1 Cor. 14:31.
    5. With companions—by pursuing with companions you will teach and encourage one another and continue steadfastly in the apostles’ teaching—Col. 3:16; Acts 2:42.
    6. Daily—by practicing daily you will build up a life-long habit—Acts 17:11.
  5. The church life, meetings, and gospel being strengthened and enriched by the saints daily pursuit of the truth—Acts 2:42; 5:42:
    1. We need to get into the Word in our personal time—diving into the Holy Word for Morning Revival, Life-studies and Recovery Version—and then bring the church meetings into such a rich and living way.
    2. When we are filled up with the truth, we will speak something by either preaching the gospel, teaching the truth, or ministering life; in this way the ministry will become the content of our speaking, shepherding, gospel preaching, etc—1 Tim. 4:6.
    3. This proper diet will kill all the germs in the church on the negative side and make the saints healthy and strong—1 John 2:13-14 and v. 13, note 6.
    4. The holy Word with the Spirit as the content does everything for the church—it produces the church, builds up the church, heals the wounds, swallows all kinds of darkness, and nourishes, strengthens and enriches—Eph. 4:15-16.
    5. First Corinthians 14:26 which says, “Whenever we come together, each has a psalm, a teaching, a revelation…,” indicating that before coming to the meetings, we should have something already; in such a way we should bring the surplus to the meetings in the homes and on the Lord’s Day.
    6. By preparing ourselves for the meetings by getting into the Word and the messages which help us to enter into the truth, the meetings will serve a dual purpose—to nourish the saints and , for the long run, to educate the saints.
    7. If we live such a life there will surely be the increase by the growth in life and the knowledge of the truth—Acts 6:7; 12:24; 19:20.
    8. If we spread these truths, we will become the faithful servants to serve food to the Lord’s people at the appointed time; then we will fulfill the commission of the Lord’s recovery—Matt. 24:45.
