The Riches of Resurrection—Ch. 16

Hebrews 8:10-11; 1 John 2:27

1. The Cross and Resurrection
   1. The cross ends the old creation.
   2. The resurrection produces the riches of the new creation:
      1. The Triune God (Eph. 4:4-6)
      2. The divine, eternal life (John 14:6)
      3. The divine nature (2 Peter 1:4)
      4. The law of life (Romans 8:2; Heb. 8:10)
      5. The anointing (1 John 2:27)
   3. All the riches of resurrection are God Himself.
2. The Law and the Prophets (Matt 7:12; 22:40)
   1. The law is a set of fixed rules which cannot be changed; it does not alter with each individual.
   2. The prophets speak to the individual situation; the guidance of the prophets varies with all.
3. The Inner Law and The Inner Anointing
   1. The inner law – the law of life replaces the outward law (Romans 8:2).
   2. The inner anointing and succeeds the prophets.
   3. The inner law of life and anointing are operating (Romans 8:14)
      1. We must seek the Lord.
      2. We must fellowship with the Lord.
      3. We need to pray and contact the Lord.
   4. We are regulated by the inner law to be kept in the Lord’s way.
   5. We are anointed by the inner anointing to know the Lord’s will in everything.
