How to Gain More from the Semi-annual Trainings

Scripture Reading: Heb 4:25:11Matt. 5:3, 813:14-232 Cor. 3:16Rev. 2:7; Isa. 50:4-5

     I.     Before the training:

  1. Deal with your inner being—deal with our spirit and heart through prayer with confession—Matt. 5:3, 8; 2 Cor. 3:16:
    1. Paul could not speak freely to the Hebrew believers because they had become dull of hearing – Heb. 5:11.
    2. If our ears are dull and cannot hear, then we cannot see (Isa. 6:9-10); the Lord always wants to open our ears to hear His voice (Isa. 50:4-5)—Rev. 2:7, note 1.
    3. Pray to be emptied in our spirit, not holding on to the old things (our old knowledge of the Word), but unloaded to receive the new things (the Lord’s present speaking and revelation) so that we may receive His fresh dispensing —Matt. 5:3, notes 2 and 3.
    4. Pray to be purified and single in our heart so that we can see the divine revelation and so that the Lord’s Word can take root, grow and bear fruit—Matt. 5:8; 13:1-23
  2. Read the Word—pre-read the book being covered in the training (ex., second part of Exodus); examine the Scriptures to see if the things are so—Isa. 34:16Acts 17:11.
  3. Pray for a door for the Word—bind Satan’s occupations and devilish blinding—Col. 4:3.

   II.     During the training:

  1. Continue in the exercise of I. A-C.
  2. Fight to stay open, unveiled and alert—avoid things that will occupy our heart or tire our body:
    1. Take naps in the afternoon whenever possible.
    2. Avoid unnecessary talk and media distractions.
  3. Go to the meetings in an exercised way:
    1. Go to the meetings early.
    2. Go praying, pray-reading, singing, speaking.
  4. After the meetings, take time to pray into the burden of each message, giving particular attention to the points of the message that the Lord touched you on; mix the word with faith—Heb. 4:2
  5. Participate in group study times as much as possible:
    1. Pray-read the key verses.
    2. Read the study questions and then study the messages with a view to answering them.
    3. Speak back the key points of the messages and prophesy with what the Lord touched you with in an exercised spirit.

III.     After the training:

  1. Spend time with the Lord to prayerfully review the fresh speaking received during the training.
  2. Listen to the audios [on http://lsmwebcast.com] especially for any messages you missed or to reinforce the speaking you received during the training.
